Storage silos are cylindrical structures used for the storage of bulk materials such as grain, seed and cereal-type products.
Dust extraction systems and cyclones are generally used in conjunction with other grain processing equipment as part of the cleaning process. The aspiration or dust extraction system consists of a fan, galvanised ducting and a receiving cyclone.
Destoners play a vital role in the cleaning and processing of grain. The destoner’s main function in the milling process is to remove stones, which are heavier than grain. Destoners operate on the principle of differing densities, with the more dense stones being separated from the lighter grains.
A degerminator is designed to remove the skin or bran and germ from maize. The process of degermination involves adding moisture to the grains, which then pass through a pressure chamber. The skin and germ are then removed using a scouring process resulting in clean, polished maize.
Grain cleaners are used to remove impurities and foreign particles from harvested grain. The cleaner operates using a system of vibrating screens and aspiration or dust extraction to remove particles of varying sizes. Both high and low capacity grain cleaners are available.
Ribbon blenders are used for mixing a wide range of bulk granular or free-flowing product. Comprising of a U-shaped horizontal trough and a double helical rotating agitator, ribbon blenders provide fast, efficient blending.
Bucket elevators are used for the vertical transport of a variety of bulk materials, such as grain, seed, pellets and powders. Bucket elevators can be used indoors or outdoors.
Swing tray bucket elevators are designed to gently transport a wide variety of products, both horizontally and vertically, without transfer points. Swing tray bucket elevators are capable of handling most dry, granular, free-flowing products; and can also work well with non-free flowing product.
A screw conveyor consists of a rotating helical screw blade, also referred to as an auger or flighting, housed inside a tube or trough. A tube screw conveyor is fully enclosed, whilst a trough screw conveyor can be accessed via a lid. Screw conveyors are mainly used horizontally or at an incline for transporting bulk materials. Screw conveyors are cost-effective and efficiently move bulk products to various points using multiple inlet and discharge points.
Drag chain conveyors are fully enclosed conveyors ideally suited to move high capacities of a wide variety of free flowing, bulk products. Drag chain conveyors are low maintenance and are ideal for horizontal conveying over longer distances (up to 150m) with the option of multiple infeed and outlet points.
Bulk bag handling systems are designed for the handling and emptying of 1 tonne bulk bags. Bulk bag handling systems allow for the positioning of the bags onto a feeding hopper to allow for the conveying of the contents.
Belt conveyors are very versatile and offer one of the most cost-effective means for conveying bulk product such as grain. Grain is conveyed directly by the belt and can be transported in a straight line or through changes in elevation or direction.
A mobile bag stacking conveyor is essentially a belt conveyor designed to move bags or boxes at an angle or incline to feed onto the back of a truck or leading wagon and can be manoeuvred and adjusted in height to suit the requirement.
Gravity or densimetric tables are designed to separate grains and particles of differing densities. The main function of a gravity table is to remove debris, stones and poor quality grains. It can be used on a variety of products such as maize, wheat, soy and beans.
The main function of a length grader is to sort grains by size. Developed to meet the needs of small and medium rice producers, the length grader is highly efficient and can be configured to suit the application and desired process capacity. It’s unique split cylinder system enables the unit to be easily cleaned when necessary.
Electronic colour sorters are highly specialised machines designed to separate or grade granular-type products such as seed, grain, beans and nuts, by virtue of their colour differences which can be configured/calibrated using pre-programmed colour parameters
