Terms of Service
Effective date: 3 November 2026
1About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the public website at facetengineering.co.za (the “Site”), operated by FACET ENGINEERING (PTY) LTD (“Facet Engineering”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2The Site and product information
The Site provides information about our engineering, processing and conveyor products and services, together with ways to contact us. Site content is general information, not a project-specific design, engineering instruction, safety assessment or professional recommendation.
Product descriptions, images, dimensions, capacities and other specifications are provided for general guidance and may change. Confirm suitability and final specifications with us in writing for your application. A website inquiry or quotation request does not itself create a sales contract. Any purchase or project engagement will be governed by a separate written quotation, order or agreement.
3Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site to:
- break any applicable law or infringe another person’s rights;
- interfere with the Site, its security, or another visitor’s access;
- upload malicious code, submit fraudulent information, or attempt unauthorised access; or
- copy, extract or reuse Site content in a way that infringes our rights or applicable law.
4Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the Site and its text, graphics, photographs, logos and other materials are owned by or licensed to Facet Engineering and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may view and print material for personal or internal business reference. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially use it without our prior written permission, except where the law allows.
5Enquiries and information you provide
If you submit an enquiry, you agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are permitted to share. We use contact and enquiry information to respond and manage your request as described in our Privacy Policy.
6External websites and services
The Site may link to websites or services operated by others. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
7Social media reporting
Where enabled, a person authorised by Facet Engineering may connect Facet Engineering’s own social-media accounts to an internal reporting dashboard. We may retrieve the account and Page performance metrics that the relevant platform makes available, solely for Facet Engineering’s internal reporting. Use of Facebook, Instagram and other third-party platforms remains subject to their own terms and privacy notices. An authorised account administrator can revoke a connection through the dashboard or the relevant platform’s settings.
8Availability and changes
We may update, suspend or remove Site content or features from time to time. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every item of information will always be current. We may revise these terms by publishing an updated version on this page. The effective date below identifies the current version.
9Disclaimers and liability
The Site is provided for general information and, to the extent permitted by law, is provided without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right, warranty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including any rights you may have under South African consumer-protection law. To the extent permitted by law, Facet Engineering is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the Site. This section does not limit liability where the law does not allow it.
10Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information through the Site are explained in our Privacy Policy.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute concerning them will be handled by a competent South African court, subject to any rights or processes that applicable law requires.
