Animal feed production for ruminants, pigs, and game requires flexible multi-formula batch production with accurate ingredient batching and thorough mixing. Facet Engineering designs animal feed plants including raw material intake from bulk and bag sources, day bin storage for common ingredients, volumetric or gravimetric batching to the mixer, ribbon or paddle mixing, and conveying to bagging or pelleting. The PLC recipe system stores all product formulas and automatically sequences ingredient additions, liquid additions, and mixing time. For facilities producing both meal and pelleted feed, the plant is designed with routing from the mixer to either a pellet press or a bag filler.
