A bulk grain intake system is the entry point of any grain facility and must handle the full vehicle load quickly to avoid queuing. Facet Engineering designs intake plants from the receiving hopper through to storage, including all intermediate conveying, elevating, and routing equipment. The receiving hopper is sized to accept a full vehicle load without operator assistance. A grizzly grid excludes large foreign objects, and a pre-cleaner or scalper removes gross contaminants before the grain enters the main transfer system. Bucket elevators and conveying distribute the grain to the required storage points. The entire plant is interlocked and controlled from a single panel or PLC.
