Certified seed production has the most demanding quality requirements of any grain handling application because germination percentage: directly affected by mechanical damage: determines the value of the product. Facet Engineering designs seed handling systems with low-damage conveying at every stage: belt conveyors rather than screw conveyors for transfer, swing tray elevators rather than centrifugal bucket elevators for vertical elevation, and slow-speed vibratory conveyors for spreading and feeding. The seed cleaning sequence uses aspiration, destoning, screening, gravity table separation, and length grading to achieve certified purity standards. Seed treatment (chemical treatment) conveying is included where required. Final bagging is at the approved certified seed bag size.
