A grain cleaning plant sequences multiple separation technologies to progressively remove different categories of impurity from the raw grain stream. The cleaning sequence is designed around the incoming grain condition and the target output specification. Typical cleaning stages include pre-cleaning (gross removal), aspiration (light material), destoning (heavy material), screening (size separation), and gravity table (density separation). For seed production, length graders and electronic colour sorters are added to achieve germination percentage and purity standards. Facet Engineering designs the full plant including conveying between machines, dust extraction throughout, and final routing to storage or bagging.
