Samp production requires the maize kernel to be cracked and then separated into the required coarse grits fractions (samp) from the finer fractions (mealie meal and bran). Facet Engineering designs complete samp production lines from raw maize intake through cleaning, degermination, sifting and classification, grading of the samp fractions, and final conveying to bagging. The plant produces multiple product streams simultaneously: samp grits at the required coarse fraction, mealie meal from the fines, and maize bran as a by-product. Dust extraction is integrated throughout. PLC control with production data logging is available.
