Dust extraction systems capture dust and light material at the point of generation: conveyor transfers, cleaners, elevators, and any other material handling point: and convey the dust-laden air to a filter unit where the dust is separated and collected. Facet Engineering designs extraction systems from the aspiration point ductwork through to the filter unit, fan, and collected dust discharge. Centralised systems serve multiple aspiration points from a single filter unit and fan, reducing the number of filter units in the plant. Point-source systems place a small filter unit directly at each aspiration point for simpler installation. Bag filter and cartridge filter units are the standard filtration technology, with automatic pulse-jet cleaning to maintain filter efficiency.
