In-process storage bins and receiving hoppers are used throughout processing plants to provide surge capacity between process steps, to accumulate material for batch weighing, and to buffer different process rates between upstream and downstream equipment. Facet Engineering designs and fabricates bins in mild steel, galvanised steel, or stainless steel depending on the material being stored and the hygiene requirements. Bin geometry: including hopper angle, outlet size, and discharge aid selection: is engineered for the flow properties of the specific material to prevent bridging and ratholing. Load cell mounting and weigh hopper configurations are supplied for batch weighing applications.
