A grain intake system is the first link in any grain handling facility and sets the maximum throughput capacity for the entire plant. Facet Engineering designs intake systems for truck tip, bottom-discharge trailer, and rail wagon unloading. The receiving hopper is sized to accept a full vehicle load without manual assistance, and the grizzly grid prevents large foreign objects from entering the conveying system. An integral pre-cleaner or scalper screen removes gross contaminants before the grain reaches the main transfer conveyors. Dust suppression from the first point of impact is included in all Facet intake designs as standard.
