Ribbon Blenders and Paddle Mixers

Ribbon blenders use a double-helix ribbon agitator mounted on a central shaft inside a U-trough. The outer ribbon moves material in one direction along the trough while the inner ribbon moves it in the opposite direction, achieving thorough mixing across the full batch without dead zones. Paddle mixers use angled paddles rather than a continuous ribbon, and are better suited to fragile or sticky materials where the ribbon would cause product damage or fouling. Both machine types achieve high mixing uniformity (coefficient of variation below 5%) within short batch cycle times.
